As we do a lot of eBay business at my place of work we have recently started to have the massive problem of the PayPal 'Notification of an Instant Payment' emails causing our Outlook client to freeze up or crash whenever we receive these emails.

Thankfully after much searching there is a fix to this problem.

It's basically down to a piece of tracking code changing in the PayPal e-mails.

1. Run Notepad.exe as Administrator - to do this right click notepad, and choose “Run as Administrator”.

2. Locate and open this file - C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

3. Then add this line to the end of the file: 127.0.0.1 102.112.2o7.net

4. Save the file.

Happy days! No more annoying Outlook crashes.
